Terms and Conditions
AUS PHOTO ACADEMYRegistrations and Payment
Workshop registration or booking fees must be paid in full to confirm your place in a workshop. Workshop places are generally limited so early bookings are advised.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
We reserve the right to cancel and reschedule any workshop, due to inadequate enrolment, bad weather, instructor or model illness, or an ‘act of God’. We also reserve the right to cancel any workshop if there is insufficient demand, especially if it means that our costs would be higher than our income. Therefore, please do not leave it until the last few weeks if you are interested in a particular date or event, as you may find that it is no longer available. Aus Photo Academy endeavours to offer full and complete refunds of all monies paid if a workshop is cancelled by us, or if the workshop is re-scheduled and you are unable to attend the new date. Exceptions to this rule may apply for larger events or where substantial upfront costs are incurred to arrange or provide the event. Exceptions will be specified within official event pages. Cancellation by participants must be made in writing. If you cancel your paid booking prior to seven (7) days of the workshop date, the workshop cost will be refunded less 25% of the workshop fee. As our costs for each event typically remain the same no matter how many delegates attend, like any pre-booked tickets for the theatre, concert, flights etc, we are unable to give a refund in the event of non-attendance, or if you cancel within seven (7) days of the workshop date. The exception to this is if we have prior notice and are able to put a cancellation place back online AND your place is resold. In this event we will of course make a full refund or credit to you. Aus Photo Academy is not responsible for any other costs which workshop participants may have incurred including but not limited to travel, car rental, insurance, photographic purchases and/or rentals.
Workshop Photography
We reserve the right to take photographic, (both still and video) records of any of our workshops which may be used for promotional purposes, submissions, advertising and records. At many of our workshops, participants may be required to sign a Photographers Workshop Agreement governing the terms of the workshop and use of the resulting images. We typically grant permission for participants to use any images captured by them during this workshop for self promotion only. Participants may not make any financial gain from any images captured during workshops without prior written consent of any and all models or persons in the photographs.
Code of Conduct
Some of our workshops feature models, both male and female, and some feature varying degrees of nudity. It is a condition of attendance that all participants must act in a mature, respectful, and professional manner at all times. These workshops are about learning to capture creative images of a dynamic, talented and professional models. They are not about titillation.
Limit of Liability
Aus Photo Academy accepts no liability for death, illness or injury, or loss or damage to photo equipment or personal belongings during the course of the workshop or in transit thereto. We can accept no responsibility for losses or additional expenses due to delay or changes in the services to be provided. We reserve the right to change our arrangements should conditions necessitate, or to cancel any aspect of the workshop due to exceptional circumstances. In the event that we deem it necessary to cancel the workshop we will provide a full refund, which the participants acknowledge as full and final settlement. In the event of a workshop cancellation by Aus Photo Academy, liability of Aus Photo Academy to participants shall be limited to the total value of the workshop. Neither party shall be liable for indirect or consequential loss. By joining any workshops offered by Aus Photo Academy, participants acknowledge that they are aware of risks and are physically capable of safely taking part in the workshop. Further, they release Aus Photo Academy, its presenters, workshop assistants, models, Cool Kids Studio Pty Ltd and Brett Dorron from any liability. Aus Photo Academy, its presenters, workshop assistants, models, Cool Kids Studio Pty Ltd and Brett Dorron will assume no liability for injury, illness or loss of personal property or expenses associated with participation in a workshop.
Your Agreement to this Contract
In reserving a place in the workshop by paying the prescribed deposit or workshop fee, you are agreeing to accept all the above conditions. The person who makes the booking does so on behalf of all the individuals included, and all are bound by the booking conditions.
